Why limit us to just a day or month? I will be traveling to Texas on Natl Quilter's day. I'll visit the quilt shop in my hometown. I'm sure I'll find a few other shops to visit on the way down and back. I'm getting quilty stuff done now, before I go, and I'll play catch up when I get back. I love the civil war fabrics. I am a beginner that decided to sign up for a block of the month so I will be working on my 7th 12 inch square, this one with 72 pieces! I would like to try out the twister tool too, maybe making a set of place mats for the dining room. We have something in common- I married my high school sweetheart too- really, we grew up 10 houses apart and started "going steady" when I was 14, married 8 years later and will have our 29th anniversary this year. We've got two kids and a lovely granddaughter. For the contest my choice would be the Civil War fabric or the Fig Tree since I just purchased the twister. Thanks for the tutorial. I'll be reading.
