I am still working on stitching my Lucy blocks together...
going and going and going!
The weather is again predicted to be rainy this week,
so another week inside stitching. Yay!
As I'm stitching I'm thinking...
half done already!!!
MyLifeisaStitch.blogspot.com - Patchwork of the Crosses - half together! April 2014 |
I love it more and more each time another block goes on!
At half done, there are:
672 honeycombs
312 little blue/gray connecting squares
and 72 fussy-cut little squares made into four-patches,
which totals over a thousand English paper pieces so far!
Also, thinking...which totals over a thousand English paper pieces so far!
I don't think I've shared these blocks:
This block has four fabrics in it:

and this one has only two fabrics in it:

I should be going out to the flowerbeds and weeding,
but with the rain,
I'll be happy staying inside and playing with my
flower garden of Lucy blocks!
Hope you, too, have a 'flower garden' stitching week,
outdoors or in :)
beautiful! this is so gorgeous - wish I could see it in person as I bet it's even more impressive in real life.

Thanks, T. I think this Lucy quilt has taken on a life of it's own! I sure think it's going to be a great finish someday!
DeleteIt's looking great!
ReplyDeleteJust finished my first block. My fingers are all kinked up. Mine will be much smaller than yours that looks so fantastic! You have a lot of patience.
ReplyDeleteIt is amazing how placement of fabric and fussy cutting can make these blocks look interesting.
ReplyDeleteI always love seeing your Lucy Boston quilt. Your blocks are beautiful. I just finished number 6 so I've got a long way to go.
ReplyDeleteNice blocks and that quilt is a beauty already!! And you are counting again! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks so much anon! And, yes, I ALWAYS count!
