spring storm

ahhh...I love the spring storms rolling in.
You can feel the air pressure change as they arrive.
The sky darkens
and the little rain drops come
with the quickening of the winds.

Then....
quietness,
followed by
big claps of THUNDER and
RAIN...
WIND...
LIGHTENING across the horizon...
today, even a little hail arrived to greet the afternoon.
Yes, Spring is making it's statement!  It has arrived!

I unplugged...
unplugged the quilting machine,
and stood in the doorway and greeted the spring...
enjoying the sights and sounds and dampness.
